Belgium vs Türkiye and France vs Italy headline Friday’s Nations League schedule, but there are a few less obvious games worth watching too. Sweden and Bosnia have both started well, while Moldova’s long winless run makes their trip to Kazakhstan difficult to ignore.

Here are our UEFA Nations League predictions for 2 October 2026.

UEFA Nations League Fixtures – Friday, 2 October 2026

  • Kazakhstan vs Moldova
  • Cyprus vs Armenia
  • Latvia vs Montenegro
  • Belgium vs Türkiye
  • France vs Italy
  • Hungary vs Georgia
  • Ukraine vs Northern Ireland
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Sweden
  • Poland vs Romania
  • Faroe Islands vs Slovakia

Belgium vs Türkiye

Türkiye have had a rough start: two defeats, five goals conceded and only one scored. Belgium already have three points on the board and should get more opportunities here than they did against France.

Türkiye’s 4-1 defeat to Italy is the result that stands out. Belgium at home looks the better side to trust.

Pick: Belgium to Win

France vs Italy

This is the game I’d be most careful with.

France opened with back-to-back 1-0 wins against Türkiye and Belgium, while Italy recovered from their Belgium defeat by scoring four against Türkiye. France have the edge, but Italy showed enough in that second game to make a straight home win less attractive.

Pick: France Draw No Bet
Also worth considering: Under 3.5 Goals

Hungary vs Georgia

Goals have been hard to find for both. Hungary drew 0-0 with Northern Ireland last time out, while Georgia also finished goalless against Ukraine.

Neither side has scored in its last two matches. That makes the total-goals market more interesting than trying to separate them.

Pick: Under 3.5 Goals

Ukraine vs Northern Ireland

Ukraine’s recent defensive numbers deserve attention. They have beaten Hungary, Poland and Albania without conceding in those matches.

Northern Ireland have also started the Nations League well, taking four points from Georgia and Hungary, so this may not be comfortable for Ukraine.

Pick: Ukraine Draw No Bet

Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Sweden

This could be one of Friday’s better games.

Sweden beat Romania 2-1 and Poland 3-1. Bosnia followed a goalless draw in Poland with a 4-2 win in Romania. Both have shown enough going forward to make picking a winner unnecessary.

Pick: Over 1.5 Goals

Poland vs Romania

Romania’s defence is the concern. Six goals conceded across defeats to Sweden and Bosnia is a difficult start to overlook.

Poland have only one point themselves, but their 0-0 draw with Bosnia was a much more controlled performance. With home advantage, Poland get the nod — with protection.

Pick: Poland Draw No Bet

Cyprus vs Armenia

There isn’t enough between these teams to make the match winner particularly attractive.

Cyprus have been inconsistent, while Armenia followed their 2-0 win over Latvia with defeat against Montenegro. This feels more suited to a conservative goals line.

Pick: Under 3.5 Goals

Latvia vs Montenegro

Latvia have now gone three matches without scoring. Montenegro arrive in better shape after Nations League wins over Cyprus and Armenia.

There is also some support in the H2H: Latvia have failed to beat Montenegro across four recorded meetings.

Pick: Montenegro Draw No Bet

Kazakhstan vs Moldova

Moldova’s run tells most of the story: 15 matches without a win.

Kazakhstan have not been spectacular, but they have recent victories over Comoros and Namibia and should see this as one of their better opportunities to take three points.

I’d still keep some protection rather than chase the outright win.

Pick: Kazakhstan Draw No Bet

Faroe Islands vs Slovakia

Faroe Islands are in better shape than the name alone might suggest. They are unbeaten in their last three listed matches and recently won away in Latvia.

Slovakia, though, have four wins and a draw from their latest five and have scored at least twice in each of those games.

Pick: Slovakia Draw No Bet

Best Nations League Picks – 2 October

For a shorter list, Belgium to Win is the clearest outright result on the card. Montenegro DNB, Slovakia DNB and Under 3.5 Goals in Hungary vs Georgia also stand out without forcing aggressive markets.
